‘Pot-pourri’ mimics the traditional method of ‘pot pourri’ which is a bowl of dried, plant materials used as a room fragrance. But instead of plant materials, Clinch’s famous symbol returns, the paper dart. Although intended to be a decorative element within a room, this basket of darts feels like a discarded pile. The artist uses the paper dart for its fragility, and short life span.
