Private Sales

Michael Fox Fine Art provides the opportunity for clients to sell their artwork or an entire collection privately on the secondary market. Private sales of artworks have become ever more popular as opposed to the traditional avenues of secondary market sales. A private sale provides a number of privileges for members on both sides of a sale.

For the vendor, a private sale affords more autonomy and security during a sale in comparison to placing an artwork on the open market. Prior to a sale, we will agree to a minimum price that a vendor would like to receive from a sale of their artwork. A private sale also grants a single artwork or collection greater exposure as they are the singular focus.

As for prospective buyers, they can rest assured that all works offered are of the highest calibre in terms of quality and provenance. Clients are offered the opportunity to acquire masterworks in full confidence and away from the spotlights of the auction room.

One of our main strengths is our dedicated Gallery space at 67 Wellington Street, Collingwood, that enables artworks to be exhibited in a bespoke viewing space. Artworks offered for private sale can be displayed as a singular entity or in the company of other artworks of international importance. Each artwork will be professionally photographed, catalogued and advertised across our marketing platforms.

Robert Clinch
Contemplation
4 – 26 June

We are delighted to announce an exhibition of meticulously hand-drawn lithographs by the esteemed contemporary artist, Robert Clinch. This marks the first solo exhibition of the artist’s work in over three years and presents the most complete body of lithographs to the market in the last decade. The addition of lithography to the artist’s practice in the early 2000s enabled Clinch to utilise his drawing talents in a medium that was less time-consuming than his painstakingly detailed egg tempera paintings.
